MY CSL STORY

Darren's Story

I’ve always loved my sport, PE was my best subject at school and so I decided to carry on my interest by taking a BTEC course in sport at my local sixth form college.

I took the course because it wasn’t focus in anyone area and so has allowed me to experience basic exercise science, physiology, psychology and coaching modules and so now I know it’s coaching that I’d like to take forward in the future.

To start with I’d like to look at summer jobs as everyone says you need to get some experience first and then find out what courses I can do to progress in general sports coaching as at the minute I am undecided which sport I want to specialise in and which sports offer the best prospects.

I have seen the list of speakers and exhibitors at CSL last year and so I will definitely be there in November.
